I trigger a global script in scheduled tasks by a tag that then has to access a screen object.

This is one example of what have tried, but I keep on getting an error with accessing the screen

try UI.FindItem instead.

With Screen.FindItem you are searching the Screen where youre script is at.

With that I get error - Script function "function": Object member: UI not supported in current scope in line 3..

Put 

const ui = HMIRuntime.UI;

above and use ui instead of UI

I will keep getting the same error, don't think you're allowed to use UI in global script maybe?

Now i got you i guess - are you talking about the "Update-Event" from the scheduled tasks?

Within scheduled tasks you are not able to access the HMI Runtime / UI.

Yes I put in update event. I never used scripts before so there migth be a better way to do this. Thats the only way I found where you could run a script by the change of a tag

I have a lot of values, each connected to a button. When the button is pressed I will search for an array of bools for one that is false, in a regular DB (I don't know if that is possible in a script, doesn't seem like I can put an array in the HMI tags so this is just done in a regular fb) If one is false I will put the array number in an INT and turn another Bool tag to true. This bool tag will then activate the script and put my value in a trend (in trend control_1)with the same number as my INT.

To run a script when a tag is changing you can use an I/O-Field on your e.g. main screen window or trend window.

Add a script on the property process value. On the clock symbol you can select the tag as a trigger for the script. In this script you can program your stuff or even call another global script.
