Problem in opening S7 backup project.

VPK Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hello all, Greetings, I have a S7 400 CPU Project Backup and I tried to open it using Step 7 ver.5.4. But i am getting a message as some additional softwares needs to be installed and there are some SIMOVERT Master Drives on the PROFIBUS network which are not being recoconized( Showing ??? mark in the HW configuration).Actually,the GSD file for Simovert Masterdrives are available in Step7.however,it is not being recogonized.Kindly, find the attachedzip file (snap shot)for the same and let me have your valuable suggestion to solve this problem. Hello VPK;
Your screenshots suggest that the original program was generated with Drives ES software integrated in Step 7.
For a description of the software, click on this link (from Siemens A&D mall), go to Drives ES Basic and open the Descrption tab:

DRIVE ES BASIC V5.4 PLANNING SW FOR DRIVES. 5-LANGUAGE CD WITH ELECTR. DOCUMENTATION, FOR STEP7 V5.4 FLOATING LICENSE

You will need to procure this software license, or borrow it from the original programmer.
