yuwa Posts: 62 Rating: (2)	Hi all, I'm a newer for converting S5 to S7.I don'thavemuch time to do this job, converting 4 of S5-project. After using converting software, there are some errors that i can't modify. case 1: LIR statement. I don't understand what it's used for. I just know that it's something about access to memory. case 2: DO statement. I really have no idea. case 3: RS xx. I think it's something about clock. But not sure exactly fuction of it. case 4: There are some OB which cannot convert. OB22, OB31, OB190,OB191,OB230,OB232,OB236,OB237,OB255. I just know that, OB220 = ITD OB235 is synchronization which not necessary in S7. OB255 is something about saving parameter which not necessary in S7. jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, The FB you show us is making a bloc transfer between Two datablocs. The parameters specifythe sourceDBs and starting from wich DW, and also the destination DB and destination DW, and finally how much. You can replace the complete stuf in step 7 by the BLKMOV (SFC20) as it is suggested with the commented lines (lines preceded by //) To realize exactly the same (using the same parameters), you have to compute the ANY pointers in STEP7 (based on the parameters) that will be applied to the call of SFC20. An example of this can be found in the FAQ: "How do access the I/O address area indirectly and what should you watch out for when copying with the SFC20?" yuwa Posts: 62 Rating: (2)	Thanks edr, Did you mean that i can use SFC20 instead of this function? For OB topics, thanks others in forum, I found topic that told me to look in S5-CPU about detail of each OB. I think i will find solution in soon. ^^ Yuwanee

jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, You have two ways to procede (both use SFC20) - either you remove and replace all calls to the FB by a call to SFC20 and you put the correct anypointers for each call. - or you change internal part of the FB. You make a "parametrized call" to SFC20 in the FB. But you must compute now the anypointers based upon the parameters of the FB In this case the calls to the FB in the program remain as they are.
