atsimas Posts: 52 Rating: (1)	Greetings. Amateur here. I want to connect a hall sensor, to a logo 12/24rce. Logo has a 24vdc power supply, in this example. Hall sensor is simple, item comes close, hall sensor conducts current. Item goes away, hall sensor stops conducting current. 1) Logo needs "up to 10vdc". 10v dc isn't popular. 12vdc and 5vdc is. 12vdc is not permissible. Can I use a 5vdc power supply, as high? 2) Where, is the ground, of 5vdc power supply (in the 5v side), connected?

You can only connect something like that to a Logo if you build an adjustment circuit for it. But it is better if you buy a suitable sensor right from the start. ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 12/29/2025 Posts: 36382 Rating: (4545)	If you see in the data sheet: The reed contact can work with a maximum of 100 VDC. Connect one connection to +24 VDC, the other connection to one of the 8 input terminals (I1 to I8).

NO = Normally open (No magnet by the reed contact). Closes, when the magnet is by the reed contact. NC = Normally closed (No magnet by the reed contact). Opens, when the magnet is by the reed contact.

The inputs I1, I2, I7 and I8 can be used both as digital and analog inputs. The analog inputs evaluate a range of 0-10 VDC. Anything higher than 10 VDC is evaluated as 10VDC.
