I'm looking to clarify what info I can get from OB86 for a remote node. I have a number of IM 153-2 remote IO stations connected to an CPU 317 via Profibus connections. I'm getting an intermittent fault on one of the IM 153-2 racks that only appears briefly.

The original programmer has implemented some code in OB86 which is pointing to the specific rack that is having the fault. What I would like to know is can I extract any more detailed information on the nature of the fault and what's causing it i.e. is it comms loss with the remote rack, a fault with the IM 153-2 or a fault with an individual card in the rack. Can I get this sort of detail from OB86 or is it limited to just the diagnostic address of the rack that has a fault?

If that's not possible is there anything else I can implement to get more detailed diagnostics?
