Hello collective wisdom,

It seems I have ordered a wrong SW package. 6ES7822-1AA07-0XC5 is just license upgrade from Simatic V5.3/4 to v5.7 type of license. The thing is that I don't have old license as I am starting from scratch.

How can I rectify this? Can a difference in price be payed? 

I did leave a message to technical support but no reply :/

Can this be used with some other option to have full licensed version?

Price difference is 370 euros and I would gladly pay the difference as what I have is completely useless.

 (OSD) licenses are download licenses from SiePortal mall.

 The question is, do you also want to work with TIA Portal? If so, then you should get a Professional Combo license.

My PLC environment is 10 years old, so no TIA. Step7 licensed is all I need.

 Do the projects you work with, include SCL code? If so, then you should get a Step7 Professional license. Otherwise you need a separate license for the SCL. There are a lot of different licesenses you might need, depending what is incorporated in the old projects.

Hi Hati...thanks for your reply. My projects are written in STL/FBD/LAD. 

Since I need licences for 2 laptops, if I order previously mentioned OSD license:

...that should work for one laptop. If I screw up one more license, that would be a fiasco.

For other, I still hope to receive reply from Siemens technical support and pay the difference in price to get correct item....I am just not sure if such practice is possible, hence my post. Hopefully there is a way out of burning 1500 euros...
