WP321 - Siwatool USB/RS485 Converter.

davtech Member Joined: 11/13/2017 Last visit: 12/18/2025 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello. I got problem to Configure WP321 with Siwatool. I'm using Moxa converter 1150 usb/RS485. I put "jumper" between (T + <-> D + ') and (T- <-> D-'). The Connection tab of the Siwatool program specified the USB port in which the converter is inserted. When I try to go Online, I got "refreshing error". The Rx/Tx LED on the module lights up, but no connection occurs. Can we configure WP321 without sensor wired ? Anyone have any solution ?

You can check the power supply of the WP321 with the „PWR“-LED directly at the WP321 module. Not all USB/RS485 converter are working. I recommend you to use the USB/RS485 converter, which is mentioned into the manual of the WP321 on the page 123 (= USB-Nano-485 from CTI): https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/eg/en/view/109770838 This converter works without any issues. Yes, you can configure the WP321 without sensor wired. Another possibility to configure the WP321 is the Instance-DB of the WP321 in the PLC. Best regards Siwarexi
