revida Posts: 5 Rating: (1)	To use Telegram 166 protocol with Sinamics S120 via HLA module and TIA Portal V14 to command it using "SINAMICS S120 Start Drive," use TIA Portal's V14 "SINAMICS S120 Start Drive" function block which enables control over drive parameters as well as issuing commands to drive. I don't provide specific examples here for V14; please consult official Siemens documentation or online sources for guidance in its implementation. As well as using one or both of the methods you suggested, another way to synchronisely control cylinders would be through using either a dedicated motion control system or PLC with motion capabilities - such as Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff or Mitsubishi PLCs with such functionality can easily manage complex synchronization tasks; they have dedicated libraries and function blocks specifically tailored for motion control applications to provide flexible control options that suit specific tasks.
