there is something wrong with registry of the drivers when Micro/win is installed on 64bit systems.

you can repair the registry of the driver or the access-point with this:

create a file x.bat with the content:

"%CommonProgramFiles%\\Siemens\\Automation\\Simatic OAM\\bin\\s7epaImp64x.exe" -up

right-click on x.bat -> run as Admin

the temporary opened command-shell can be ignored. the installation takes ~1 min

the driver for the USB-multi-master cable at 64bit is called:

PC/PPI cable.PPI.1

Now , I'm using operating system : win7_64bit, and installed microwin_v4_sp9 which required for 64bit operating system, and it's working good for programming on my laptop, ok,

but the problem now is that: when I connect my USB/PPI multi-master cable ( Sr: 6ES7 901-3DB30-0XA0 ) to usb port, it's appear in hardware device manager as Human Interface Device, not as a COM port !!!!!!!, so I can't identify any thing ( no port number or paud rate or any thing else ), it looks like a game kit !!!!!!

please, I want to know if this is a technical problem? and what is the solution?

or If may cable is damaged???!!!

Note that: it's LEDs lights all once when connect and then give a short flash on Tx & Rx LEDs , and then stop, no light more!!!!!!!!!

your adapter not shows like COM port so you need set in PG/PC interface with MicroWin -> PPI.1 interface and under options USB connection type, not COM port.

I had the problem of not establishing connection to CPU 226 via the USB/PPI cable. I could not even see the option of Micro/Win in the Access point of the application when I click on Set PG/PC interface.

I tried creating the x.bat file but did not work.

I tried what is in the attachment and it worked. :)
