Still works in 2022, on a Windows 10, 21H1. 

 Hello I have de same problem, but I have WinCC Flexible installed in a virtual machine with Windows XP Professional SP3 and I cannot find the path you explain. I try to look for de file "Default layout.xml" and I don´t find it.

Is there another way to solved it?

Tech Supportwrites:

Please do the following:

1. Please restart your PC.

2. Please delete the "Default layout.xml" in the following path:

C:\Documents and Settings\<LoginName>\AppData\Roaming\SIEMENS AG\SIMATIC WinCC flexible 2008\Caches\1.4.0.3_105.9\Documentation\Settings\Default layout.xml

After this please copy the "Default layout.xml" under attachments of this mail in this path.

In my case it works
