Hi,

Got a Siemens Field PG running windows 7, trying to connect to a S7-200 PLC using the USB to PPI cable (6ES7 901-3DB30-0XA0) but the option to select the interface isn't coming up on the list when I go to setup the PC/PG interface. Cables fine as we used it on a contractors laptop and it connected straight away. 

Software I'm using is Step 7 Micro/Win SP9 V4.0.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried installing it but it hasn't helped, still not coming up when trying to setup the interface.

The Driver for the USB Multi Master Adapter is included in the MicroWin installation.

The PG/PC Interface you want is "PC/PPI Cable" interface

Under properties go to Local Connection and select USB. Be sure to use the highest transmission rate.

U can try to reinstall Microwin (Run setup as administrator)

Must be missing something from the install then as the option for the PPI is never listed so cant select properties for it. Unfortunately I have no idea where the disk is for the MircoWin install either so cant try re install it

Download the STEP7 MicroWIN V4.0 SP8 and SP9 update installation from Siemens.

In this file you find a folder named "COMM" in MW409Update.zip\Disk1\

Try run this setup as Administrator to "try" reinstall the communication drivers.

Alternatively you can reinstall MicroWin V4 SP9 completely with this installation, after it ask you to uninstall the current installation, but you will need to have a MicroWin executable from original installation (CD-installation) ready as the installer will look for it before it can continue.
You can not use a executable from "update" installation like the one listed above.
