H-System restart

ionut.b Posts: 289 Rating: (3)	I have added to my H system 2xCp443-1, and I can't start it in redundant mode. I can only start one CPU; if I try to start the second all my I/O (connected through Y-Link) go into error (all SF leds go red) and the safety program stops functioning. I've encountered the same error even in the past (without communication modules), but managed to start in redundant mode by increase of scan cycle time. Thank you.

Are you making the startup without your profibus modules ? If so ,most probably it must be because of the long time to startup. The startup time for a redundant CPU set is more than that of a single CPU. This problem should go away once your I/Os are being used. So if you are faced with such a problem disconnect your RIOs in the hardware config and start up. Krish

Most of the time the error is: Event 37 of 120: Event ID 16# 79E5 F-I/O passivated - Monitoring time exceeded at the safety frame detected in the F-CPU Logical base address: 56 F-I/O database number: 128 External error, Incoming event 11:01:32.481 AM 05/13/2008 I only start the system with all Profibus modules connected.
