However two things that might help you : 1) WinCC Flex uses VBS and not VBA 2) This skeletoncode will read an Access database and store the values in a ADO Recordset. michiels Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	thanks salma This is very usefull I don't know yet how i can acces this data in the recordset and put them in some smarttags but this seems a small problem, so i will find it myself i think. And thanks to all the others that helped me.

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	Glad to help. Just ask if you have any questions. To get you started, a Recordset is a virtual table in memory of your results. You access items using the syntax objRecordset.Fields(<column_index>).Value so to read the first column value you would use objRecordset.Fields(0).Value To move between rows (records) you use the .MoveNext, .MovePrevious, .MoveFirst and .MoveNext commands. So to quickly loop through a recordset and read out the first two columns you would have something like this : [code] while not objRecordset.EOF MsgBox objRecordset.Fields(0).Value MsgBox objRecordset.Fields(1).Value objRecordset.MoveNext wend [/code] A good reference website to get you started is http://www.w3schools.com/ado/default.asp

I had also problem that i used a dutch computer and Acces is an englisch program. The problem was that i wanted to write 5,345 to the database and i always had an error. Acces can only accept 5.345 so i added So i added this to my code: objCommand2.Prepared = True 'this compiles the SQLstring when the SQLstring is often needed so your program works faster objCommand2.Parameters.Append objCommand2.CreateParameter("gem_lengte_goed_brood", 200, , 255) 'assigning the parameters objCommand2.Parameters.Append objCommand2.CreateParameter("gem_lengte_kort_brood", 200, , 255) objCommand2.Parameters.Append objCommand2.CreateParameter("gem_lengte_lang_brood", 200, , 255) objCommand2("gem_lengte_lang_brood") = gemlengtelangbrood objCommand2("gem_lengte_goed_brood") = gemlengtegoedbrood objCommand2("gem_lengte_kort_brood") = gemlengtekortbrood the numbers 200 and 255 are standard , you don't have to change them this is a database column:gem_lengte_lang_brood this is a variable in vbscript gemlengtelangbrood with this codes you can easealy read and write to an Acces database or another database IN wincc you can use the values from the database and put them into a tag I hope this is usefull for you, and when something is not clear let it know [;)]
