xhnr Posts: 29 Rating: (0)	Hello, After I installed Ultrasonic flowmeter FST020, and then selected Install Complete: Install. Then I got this: Drive 68 respace index: 3 press [ent] I don't understand what means this 'respace index: 3' Circumference of pipe is 136 cm, I selected 400DN, 16 What is your opinion, where I have made mistake?

MFedele Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	If you measured the pipe'scircumference as 136cm, then the actual outside diameter (OD) is 433mm. However, the DN 400 has an OD of 406.4mm (16in). You should identify the correct pipe parameters to the meter. Generally, if the meter asks you to respace to a new index, it cannot "see" the signal at the originally suggested spacing. The meter determines the spacing based on pipe size (entered), liquid properties (sonic velocity -- estimated) and sensor size chosen (by user). If any of these items are specified incorrectly, the meter will provide incorrect mounting recommendations. Bill Patterson, Technical Services Manager CoC Ultrasonic Flow Siemens Industry, Inc.

MFedele Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	The letter "F" is a signal fault alarm, meaning the sensors have lost communicationwith each other. If the meter exhibits the "F" with flow stoppage, check to see if the pipe is going empty. This condition would cause the "F" fault alarm to go active. MFedele Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	The FST020 is a lower-cost alternative to the FUS1010, which has a large screen and back lighting. There is no option for backlight and a large displaywith the FST020. Bill
