Configuration of a rewinder

SKG Posts: 135 Rating: (3)	Dear all, Is it possible to configure a rewinderwith Sinamics s120 ac/ac power module, CU310 and smc30? 1. One encoder measuring motor rpm is planned to be interfaced with CU310 dp. 2. Other encoder measuring line speed (coupled with an idle roller) will be interfaced with smc30. 3. I want to take both the encoder data one motor rpm and another idle roller rpm (from which line speed can be derived) to plc. 4. In plc I want to calculate instantaneous diameter of rewinder from these data and then to calculate instantaneous motor torque to keep the web tension constant. It would be very helpful to me if anybody kindly help me, if it is possible,with any example project or any information. Best regards, Shyamal

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	Although it is possible to implement this functionality in the PLC, like you described, the better approach would be to use Sinamics DCC standard winder application and perform winder control right in the drive.

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	CFC installation is included in Sinamics DCC. Installation consists of standard CFC editor and Sinamics DCC libraries. There is no need to purchase a separate copy of CFC.
