This menu command opens a dialog box in which you can reorganize the database of a project, multiproject or a library. This removes any gaps which occur when contents are deleted, meaning that the amount of memory required for the project/library data is reduced.

The function optimizes the data storage similar to the way in which a defragmentation program defragments a hard disk and optimizes (reorganizes) file storage on the hard disk.
The duration of the reorganization process depends on the amount of data to be moved around and may take some time.

When you reorganize a multiproject, the multiproject and all projects contained in it are reorganized.


With the function "Save As" you can also reorganise:
If you select the option "With reorganization" in the dialog box that appears, then only the project files are saved. In this case, files that are not part of the project (e.g. additional text files) are also not copied.

The option "With reorganization," will take longer; however, a message will be displayed if an object cannot be copied or saved. Possible reasons for this could be a missing software package or defective data in an object.
