I am currently doing a project with WinCC flexible using a TP177B and a S7-200. I have created the PLC Program and want to import thesymbols and addressesinto the WinCC package. I assume that there exists the possibility of importing them somehow. I realise that it is possible to integrate the S7-300 and 400 into the project so that you have access to the symbol files but I cannot figure out how to do it for the 200. Hasanyone got any pointers as to how to do it?

I also had the same trouble last week and ended up copying the symbol table from STEP7 Micro/Win into Excel, from which I created a .csv file. I then imported tags from WinCC Flexible via the .csv file.

However, unlike you, I don't have any communication between my TP177B and S7-200 CPU 224XP. How are you establishing communication on your end? What do you suppose I could be doing wrong? I have an MPI cable running between the two devices.

I finally managed to solve the problem. The lack of communiation was attributable to differing baud rate settings on the HMI and PLC ports. The HMI port was set at 187.5 Kbaud. I tried doing this for the S7-200 224XP but then communication was lost between the PLC and the PC. To remedy this, as I soon realized, the baud rate at both Port 0 and Port 1 on the PLC should be the same in order to effectively program the PLC. That's why PC-PLC communication was impossible when I set just one of the ports to 187.5 Kbaud.

Now, both ports are set at 187.5 Kbaud (System Block > Communication Ports) and everything works fine.
