How to Import Wincc 6.0 *.PDL graphics files into WinCC flexible graphics

Techy Posts: 86 Rating: (2)	Hello, I am new to the WinCC flexible & need some urgent help. I have an WinCC 6.0 graphics files which I want to import into WinCC flexible 2005 v1.1. Any clues as to how do I get these *.PDL files inside the HMI project. Another thing I noticed with WinCC flexible is that it ties you down to some MP device. Why is that? Can I not build a device independent project file? Thanks Techy

You can configure, for instance, an MP370 as a thin client, which will access your Web Navigator server: ThinClient solutions The Web Navigator can also run under Windows 2003 terminal services. A Windows 2003 Server (or higher) operating system is required. This makes it possible, for example, to connect even Windows CE-based visualization systems such as SIMATIC MP 370 with the ThinClient MP option, to WinCC. For this purpose, the Windows terminal services must be installed on the PC on which the Web Client is installed. A Windows 2003 Server (or higher) operating system is required. Up to 25 ThinClients can be connected to one terminal server. My problem is that I want to use the subpictures & some part of the graphics developed in the WInCC 6.0 These are in non HMi form (*.PDL) . So is there any way I can recover these to speed up my development on the HMI package? Any wise suggestions? Regards, Techy

Techy Posts: 86 Rating: (2)	Simovert, I think the reason it will not work is that the Flexible is a HTML based graphics. So importing file objects created in WINCC which has a non HTML format is not going to work. So these are to be manually re-done Thanks, Techy
