I will need to interface a Simatic WinCC flex Touch panel with an existing GeFanuc PLC. Unfortunately I can not use SNP - RS232 protocol because the panel is too fare away. Then I would like to communicate with profibus. As a result I will add a CP in the Fanuc’s PLC rack.

Q1) Can a TP Simatic and a PLC GeFanuc communicates trough profibus?

Q2) Should I add a GSD file for the TP in my configuration? In this case where can I find this file?

Q3) Should I select SIMATIC S7 300/400 profibus communication drivers or something else?

• Profibus Master GeFanuc Module IC693PBM200

Communication with GeFanuc is only described for SNP - RS232 protocol.

Is it no way to communicate trough Profibus?
