Hi Everyone,

Is it possible to downgrade a CPU 410? In my particular case it is about a CPU 410 smart (6es7410 5hn08 0ab0). The CPU is currently running on FW 8.2.1. We want to downgrade it back to 8.2.0.

I have gone through all the manuals about updating the CPU 410 operating system. Downgrading is not mentioned there.

I would highly appreciate, if someone can share his/her experiences and knowhow about this topic.

Update on 26.10.2020: the downgrade works. It is the same procedure like firmware upgrade described in the CPU410 manual.

Yes, downgrading is possible, it's the same procedure. I have done it from V8.2.2 back to 8.2.1. for testing purposes.

It is mentioned in the manuals, but also it doesn't occur ever (says Siemens).
