I've built a pump controller using the Logo! 12/24/RCE and related power supplies and expansion modules. There are some user adjustable parameters (level % to turn pumps on and off, etc.) which are reachable in several different screens. The problem is, when you press Esc+arrow it dumps the user into the "Program, Setup, Network, Diagnostics" menu then all the I/O and memory status'. Eventually you get to a screen with arrow keys showing and the user gets into the screens I've programmed to set the parameters. How does one stop that behavior? I've programmed other Logo systems and this doesn't happen.

Also, why does the Esc+arrow keys not respond quickly, seems you have to hold the Esc. for a bit then press the arrow key. Great PLC but poor user interface features...

I'm not sure what you are saying. I have current pump system status displayed on the Logo screen, such as which pump is running and the current water level. When they push Esc + right arrow, it puts them into a "setup" screen, where they can select various modes of operation by using Esc + up and down arrows. Pressing Esc + -> again moves to the next setup screen. There are 4 or so of these screens. When they stop pushing buttons, a timer puts them back on the status screen.

I've programmed other Logo systems with the similar setup and I don't remember being put into the "Programming" LOGO screens. Is there a setting that prevents this while it's executing your program?

Sorry, I think I understand what you're saying now. If there IS NOT a programmed screen then you will go into the LOGO system menu. I do have programmed screens, and they alternate between two status screens controlled by a timer but with no parameters to set. If you press ESC+--> it should move you to another set of screens that have parameters to set.

So, if I understand you, if you press Esc+--> on the status screen, which only displays information but has no parameters to set, you'll be put into the Logo system screens. If I put some parameter on the status screens, even if it doesn't do anything, it should switch to the next set of screens without going to the Logo system screen?
