clone software to new spare panel pc

ironsteel Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	how come Hi all, I am trying to clone a 80GB harddisk image to a 160GB harddisk. The cloning was successfully. But when i try to boot up using the 160GB harddisk, it always hang at windows start up page.Has anyone experience this before? Appreciate someone can give my any idea. Thank you very much. with regards, how come? Hi how come, I am trouble with the similar issue like you. We are using an SIMATIC Panel PC 677 (AC) 15" Key (6AV7803-1BB20-1AC0). I ordered a spare Panel PC for this. But Siemens offered us an higher hardware configured Panel PC which is SIMATIC HMI IPC677C (6AV7893-1BE20-1AB0).Because SIMATIC Panel PC 677does not in production any more. The existing panel has 40 GB HDD and the new one 250 GB. And existing one has Pent M730 1,6 GHzCPU and spare one has Core i3 2,13 GHz. Higher configuration is better for us, too. Now I need to clone the software to this new spare panel. I provide the new drivers of hardware components and I tried to clone this software to the spare panel many times but the result is unsuccessful. Actually it seems to be normal until the coloning operation finished. But at the end of the cloning operation, when I try to boot up the system, a blue screen is coming. Do you have an idea? How can I run the image in this spare Panel PC? Thank you in advance.

During the booting phase the system ask you, whether you will install some additionaly drivers. Please install the respective drivers of the new device. After that please reboot the system from the hard drive. Have a nice day

ironsteel Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hello, AfterI have installed the image onour spare part device and when I try to boot it up I came across with the blue screenand error code is something like that 0x0000007B(0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034,0x0,0x0). IfI try to boot it up with the WinXP cd,it asks for OEM Drives from floppy drive or going ahead with a new windows installation. I suspect about the Intel SATA and RAID Controllers. Because ourPC panel is working Win XP SP2 but spare one is SP3.Some internet sites advices thatif we select IDE Compatible mode in Bios setting, it is going to be ok!. However, in our spare PC Bios settings there is no IDE Compatible modechoice.There are three choices;RAID,AHCI and Enhanced.I really confused.

SSAIL Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	you can tray to clone with another 80gb hard disk instead of 160gb hard disk. Diffrence of disk volume may be the problem. GOOD LUCK.

gre_m Posts: 947 Rating: (45)	AHCI mode not work in windows XP - in bios need set IDE or compatible. When Windows XP SP not work with HDD >120GB need set use 48bit adressing LBA. see FAQ microsoft or use tweak programm for path register
