Dear experts .....

I have a technical issue if you can please help ..

I am working on a project and i have 9 stepper motor and 7 servo drives = 16 drive

All of them take signals via PTO ( terminal pulses and direction )

i have searched to much to decide which S7 sieres am going to deal with 

the questions are : 

i need S7 family S7 300 - 400 - 1200 - 1500 which one can cover all this number of drives in same program even i can add extention modules with effecient respond and performance. 

1- S7 1200 series has max PTO on board 4 channels . Can i add SB modules ( digital output signal boards ) untill i cover all the number of drives ? OR i just have max 4 channels in whole program?

IF NO 

2- S7 1500 can cover the 16 PTO channels in the same program by adding extention SB modules?

how many pto pulses and direction output can i use in s7-1515 and can i know ?

the most stepper motors has no ethernet ports .. i have to use pulse generator for the 9 stepper motot

how many pulses output modules can i use in the cpu

Not 100% sure about S7-1200 but rather not.

S7-1500 - possible.

as far as I know, the amount of the PTO-Axes on the S7-1200 is not limited, but you can use just 4 PTO-Outputs at the same time. Possibly you can muliplex the outputs if not all axes are needed at the same time!?

The amount of the Servo-Axes (ProfiDrive or Analog) are limited to 8 on the S7-1200.
