Hi,

I am using FDI (6ES7136-6BA00-OCA0) with white base (6ES7193-6BP00-ODA0) and after assignning the profisafe address but still i cannot able to identify the card in Tia Portal V18. The FDI Diag LED is always blinking.

If I replace to another FDI Card, i have no issue identifying the FDI in tia portal. Is there any way to reset this FDI.

Hi,

there is not really a option to reset single submodules, especially if it can not identified in TIA.
But what do you mean with identify? Is it not recognized at all? Are there any diagnostics information?

which firmware did you configure in hw config? Because this can be a possible mismatch leading to this message, also if the product number itself is the same for both F-DI.

The firmware configured in hw-config must not be a newer version as installed on the F-DI.

So lets assume, the F-DI which does not work, has an older firmware installed on it, as configured in hw-config, you will receive such a message.

So lets assume, the F-DI which does work, has the same (or newer) firmware as configured in hw-config, the card will work.

The Firmware version in Tia Portal is 2.0 and i change the version to 1.0 and now i have no issue with identifying the FDI and able to assign profisafe address.

I want to ask is there any way to upgrade the firmware in the hardware FDI.

Hi,

yes, a firmware update is possible in general but it depends on the module.

Be aware:

You mentoined to use a 6ES7136-6BA00-0CA0, but the photograph shows a 6ES7136-6BA01-0CA0.

So be sure to use the correct firmware update for the module! The link below is the update for the BA01.

Hi,

in the link with the download posted above, there is another link to a detailed description. There, evereything is explained.

One possible method:

• download firmware update file
• open device diagnostics of te f-di
• search the menu/button to update the firmware
• click to update the firmware
• choose the file downloaded before
• perform the update
