PCS7 Wincc Client Not able to open the project

arunvt1992 Bronze Member Joined: 10/5/2016 Last visit: 8/10/2025 Posts: 109 Rating: (2)	Below System has Red server + 5 Client I am unable to open one of the Wincc Client project as it displays below message "Cannot open Wincc project -Project Manager for configured server is not running. Check the computer name of the server." However i am able to download to this client from my engineering station. Kindly advise what i need to check in my Client station. The client station Administrator account is a member of Administrators and SIMATIC HMI. The EWS Administrator account is a member of Administrators,Logon_Administrators,SIMATIC HMI,SIMATIC Management Users, SIMATIC HMI . My client project is present inside D drive The above client(AMS-OWS) is visible in Simatic Shell Attachment Download message.jpeg (168 Downloads)

Can you create a new WinCC project and does that work? Have you checked access rights for the project folder as described in Compendium part F, page 115 see: Link If you configured a domain from workgroup or vice versa, then have you run the security controller settings again? See page 78 of Compendium part F
