We need to provide an electrical drive system for a potential Ferris wheel customer in China. The customer requires a private 5G solution. However, our Siemens 5G products currently cannot meet the private 5G spectrum requirements set by the Chinese authorities. The customer also does not accept public 5G.The current domestic solution is to leverage the 5G resources of a mobile network operator. This approach, however, requires the customer to regularly renew the service, which is still not acceptable. Can we achieve quasi-5G network coverage for the Ferris wheel without configuring core network equipment by using an XVLAN configuration? Additionally, as introduced in the XVLAN context, the SCALANCE MUM856-1 only supports two segments. In the Ferris wheel solution, the SCALANCE MUM856-1 configured at the central axis of the Ferris wheel needs to communicate with the wireless devices of up to 48 cabins surrounding it. If the XVLAN solution is feasible, how should it be correctly configured? Attachment128m FerryWheel XVLAN.pdf (215 Downloads) |
