Frequency in counter module

Neophyte Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Great and thanx. Does it mean that if per second there are more than 200,000 pulses at the input of the counter module, it will not be able to count it ? Then again, I have also seen that for encoders there are the following inputs ( A, A bar, B, Bar, N, N bar) or simply ( A, B, N*) What are these - are there any sites that shows how a PLC interprets the inputs from an encoder?

YES, but more correctly isto say "Up to a frequency to 200kHz the modul will be able to count the signals, over 200kHz it may loose some pulses. With much higher frequencys than 200kHz itwill lose pulses.)
