what is the right way to do overall reset on Siemens S5 155U 948 CPU?

gen Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, need your help: what is the right way to do overall reset on Siemens S5 155U 948CPU? my problem is that before I can do the overall reset by just hold the MC switch to overall reset position and same time run-stop switch to run and stop few times and stop at stop postion, MC switch to reset and run-stop swtich to run, the CPUthen read the program from flash card after overall reset, but now after overall reset, the CPU does not read anything from flash card and I don't know why! the CPU just stays like empty, I can only transfer the program by using STEP5 but it should not be this way. The flash card is okas I can read out the program from flash cardby usingexternal prommer. You deedback is appriciated. Thank! Gen.

The way we did overall reset is like the manual mentioned, the problem now is that the STOP LED still flashes quickly after overall reset(still ask for OVERALL RESET) The memary card is pluged in, the OB39 is there in the program, I can read out the OB39 from the memary card like bellow: OB 39 Segment 1 0000 :JU FB 3 0001 Name :PROZBILD 0002 E/A : KF +1 0003 :JU FB 99 0004 Name :GRACIS 0005 OB-? : KF +1 0006 :JU FB 3 0007 Name :PROZBILD 0008 E/A : KF +2 0009 :BE If you have idea what is wrong? What's the reason for Overall Reset? Is there back-up voltage available (battery)? Or perhaps there may be a CPU error or System error in that case you should contact your Siemens Representative. gen Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Thanks Wizard, 1, Just want to try another CPU, so we have to do the overall reset, now, both CPU have the same problem. 2. The CPU and system works good if I load the program into the CPU by using STEP5, and the same program is in the memary card also, but can not be loaded automatically. Thanks and regars. Gen
