String datatypes in user web pages

Jorsal Posts: 74 Rating: (31)	Hi, Does anybody know, if it is or will be possible to read (and eventually write) STRING values on a user web page in the S7-1500? I have tried on the S7-1200, but If i simply make a readout like: [code]:="DB_Name".DataString:[/code] -Then the readout is empty. I can readout all the simple datatypes like BOOL,INT,REAL etc, but not a complex one like STRING. The S7-1500 Web Server Manual (A5E03484625-01) as well as the S7-1200 user manual doesn't really say anything about datatypes, although all examples are with simple datatypes. I am still waiting for my ordered S7-1511-1PN to arrive, so I haven't tested it on the S7-1500 yet.

The function is the same for S7-1500. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/58862931 In the descrition are some topics about string variables on HTML: Page 46 / 4.1.4 DataString (FB2) Page 53 / Figure 4-15 (HTML Code) Ialso recommmend that you use instruction S_MOVE to fill your DataString variable in S7-Program.
