StevieB Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Can't seem to connect to Simodrive611 Analog (6SN1121-0BA11-0AA1) to initialize drive after installing new module. The original had to be replaced as the drive no longer worked and no readout on the display. I'm using the IBS software with the proper cable for communication and I keep getting a "Connection to the converter is faulted" error. I have rung out the cable to verify connections in plug, verified P-051,097 and 052 re-initialize parameters according to manual but keep getting same error code in the IBS software. I have also tried different comm port settings on the laptop with no success. I know the firmware version is 3.00 according to P-099. Any help would be greatly appreiated in this matter.

Duncant336 Posts: 3 Rating: (1)	I had the same problem try using cable pinouts 2 - 2 3 - 3 5 - 5 7 - 8 8 - 7 I am using IBS 3.3 with a netbook running windows XP pro and using usb to serial converter cable with the 9 pin to 9 pin. Using the above cable pin out. Setting on com 1 default baud settings. Hope this will help I spent to much time and frustration trying to connect.
