I have a problem with a Logo system stopping. The system comprises of a LOGO!12/24 RCE with 2 LOGO!DM16 24R and a LOGO! AM2 AQ. Additional I/O was required so networked as a slave is another LOGO!12/24 with a LOGO!DM16/24R. Also networked is a LOGO! TDE. There is also a SCALANCE XB008 hub used for the networking. The system was installed in 2016 and programmed using LOGO! soft comfort V8. There had been no reported problems with the system.

Late last year a modification was made to the program to include 2 weekly timer function blocks. This modification was written in LOGO! soft comfort V8.1. Since then the LOGO system as been regularly stopping causing production to stop. The modifications were removed from the program (again in comfort V8.1) but the stopping problem still happen. 

A complete rewrite of the program was made using V8.1 but the stopping problem still remained but this time worse. The old program has now been reloaded (written in V8.0) into the system.

What could be the reasons for the stopping of the LOGO? I have used the weekly timer block in other programs/systems with no issues, the only difference being there are no networked slave units.

thanks for the reply. I think that is the version of firmware. Apparently Siemens put out an alert in Oct 2016, we purchased these units in spring 2016 so more than likely they are FS03.
