Hi Ayman it's a configuration file and you can open it from Siemens web site when you open the Configurators for S7-400H . |

Dear Boss, I've uploaded a print screen for your part list ( i made a CSV file but it's not useful) I hope some other guys would see it and tell you more things. In brief, you must read this manual very well. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1186523 In chapter 10 you will find out that not all cards can work as redundant cards. I didn't have the chance before to work with a similar configuration (i.e. redundant S7-400 cards) butI didn't find your chosen digital output and analog input cards in the list of redundant modules in chapter 10. You can try it in SIMATIC MANAGER, the redundant cards will have a window for redundancy (to enable you to chose the redundant partner) while the cards that can be redundant will not have such property. I think you missed another flash memory card and you forgot the synch. cable as well. Moreover,I think S7-412 will do the job. What about your HMI or SCADA? what's your plan for communication? |

Dear boss, I've seen SOCOMEC DIRIS A 40 before and i was told that it has a Profibus interface. Siemens definitely has something like it and it's called SIMEAS P but it's not a product of Siemens A&D. It belongs to Siemens PTD (Power Transmission & Distribution). If you are interested go and take a look. https://www.energy-portal.siemens.com/static/hq/en/products_solutions/1001040_kn03011101.html But is it just a monitoring issue? Siemens produces a very powerful monitoring and control device for motor managementcalled SIMOCODE which can be also connected to Profibus networks. http://www.automation.siemens.com/cd/simocode/html_76/motormanagement_grundgeraet.htm I didn't have a chance to deal with that SIMOCODE but my colleagues told me before that it's very powerful. It's dedicated for motor managementonly while the SIMEAS P and DIRIS A 40 are general power meters. IN ALL CASES, YOU ARE GOING TO USE Y-LINK Best regards. |
