Hi,

I got the following error when I wanted to downlod my project to the TP:

Download canceled due to a transfer error: 8020AB001A06FFF4

- TP Panel is TP1900 confort.

- I am using Profinet communication

- software: TIA portal V15 update 3

It seems that the changes/project could not be adapted on the TP.

Can you help me what to do?

Note:

- originally the Panel had TIA v13 version but I suceed to change the verison up to V15 when I downloaded first. Than the error come and cancelled the download process - see the attached picture

- There is no any SD card inserted to the TP

- Communication with the TP is fine (as you could also see on the attached picture...)

I have like you in our plant and i don't want to make that to avoid any problems.

But according to my experience if there is NO any error during compile the download will be done without any error.

So check compile first.

For me the solution was:

- Reset the HMI to factory settings,

- OS update to the V15

- Change the HMI type in the device config to V15

I have the same problem.

I did next:

1. Reset to Factory Settings

2. Download new version of OS

3. Change version in project HW

4. Download to panel

...but still have problem which is in attachments

The instalation of TP images to TIA Portal has helped to splve the issue.

I fixed it with prosave.

1. Open prosave

2. Connect the panel with prosave

3. Go to tab 'OS Update' 

4. Select correct firmware version and update OS

After this you can download back to the panel.

Nothing help.

I can't use OS 16. 

The only solution for me is to work with  TIA V16 with panel OS V15.1

For me, it works like evtechNYL said.

1. I download the OS of TP700 for HMI v15.1 from :

2. I copied it on :

C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V16\Data\Hmi\Transfer\15.1

3. On my TiaPortal v16, I create a HMI with version v15.1

4. From TiA PORTAL v16. I update the OS of TP700 with the version.15.1

5. Then, I could finally download my project HMI to device.

SOLVED!!!

STEP 1: installing all panel images form the WinCC DVDs, like this guy suggested.

STEP 2: install the last version of updates for TIA 16

in my case: Unified_Comfort_Panel_Images_V16_Upd6.exe (1,3 GB)

plus 109746530_SIMATIC_WinCC_Panel_Images_V16_Upd4.exe (1,9 GB)

Another important point for TIA 15.1: Check to have installed the right image like 15.0.0.0

not 15.0.0.5 ( other issue in the past

I solved this error, taking the folder fron .../transfer/v15, from tia portal v15 and copy to the folder to tia v16. Also changing the version in the op panel to v15 (inside the program).

I know that this theme was discussed a lot but with all explanations and manuals found I still didn`t manage to solve my problem. I am using a Siemens mobile panel KTP900F. I changed the old one which was broken with a new one, changed the IP adress as in project, assigned name and downloaded the right firmware. I compared it with the other 2 mobile panels I am using and everything is  the same. I have a problem when it comes to download the software to the panel. Message which I receive:

Download canceled due to a transfer error: 8020AB001A06FFF4

I am using TIA V16 with Profinet. I tried to make download software all, download software only changes and exteneded download to device. 

Anyone has any idea what can be the problem?

In attachment are 2 photos. One showing that firmware was successfully updated and other the displayed error.

I slove this issue with this way.

1. update HMI panel from 15 to 16.

2. download again

maybe it is an old entry but still can be found on the forum.
I had the same problem today - and corrupted data on memory stick was causing HMI to lock up.
Removed the said memory stick (with logs) then re-formatted it and then was able to download project
and start HMI as normal.

I know i'm 2 years late, but i've had the same problem and I solved copying both V16.0 image files, the one allocated inside the "image" folder and the outside one...

Big mistake copying only one file 

For all those who are having an issue and same error message as mentioned above

I solved using following steps I faced an issue with TIA 17 update 5

1. Download image file locally from below link for your required TP, KTP OR any other HMI

2. I also downloaded Imaged of TIA 17 update 4 . I am using KP700 comfort

3. Retrieved update 4 and update 5 image in D drive in any folder

4. Copied Updated 5 to C Drive below location C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V17\Data\Hmi\Transfer\17.0\Images\CP_7_9\CP_ 7_9_12_V17_0.fwf

5. Make sure TIA is closed. Open SIMATIC Prosave and select device type, connection and IP address

6. In OS update tab select Update 4 Firmware from D drive and update OS

7 Once OS is successfully updated open TIA and download program. Make sure you are only on ONE network. Either Profinet or Wi-Fi

8. Once you select TIA will ask for below message

9.Select all and TIA will auto update firmware in HMI from C drive and download runtime program.

I meet same problem in V16. after struggling 3 days, solved finally.

DONOT ONLY COPY ONE image to the folder, copy all downloaded image folder to the directory, then i made it!!

I had the same problems.

My version was V14.0.0.0 and could not download or downgrade in the Thia project.

With Prosave i could upgrade or downgrade the Firmware/OS But still could not download the project, because I got the same error code.

My Solution was upgrade to 14.0.1.0, after that i could download the project and all was working again.

Hi all, this was my situation.

Tia portal V17 Update 5. TP900 Comfort with V15.0 Image Version.

After 2 hours of work, my solution was to copy entire folder 15.0 from TIA V15 and paste into the TIA V17.0.

I am not sure what was the real problem. Panel image was present in my folder
