Hello, Please check this FAQ: Resetting the S7-200 to the factory default settings (WIPEOUT) Please note WIPOUT is a toll to reset S7-200 CPU to factory setting even if it's password protected. After using it, there will be no chance to retrieve the software that was stored on the CPU.

Even if the PLC gives a SF fault you should able to find and connect to the PLC and show PLC info to see status of PLC. Can you provide model number of PLC and used program cable.

Even if the PLC gives a SF fault you should able to find and connect to the PLC and show PLC info to see status of PLC. Can you provide model number of PLC and used program cable. I use CPU224 DC/DC/DC : 214-1AD21-0XB0 and PC adapter USB : 6ES7 972-0CB20-0XA0.

Henry1675 Bronze Member Joined: 3/9/2018 Last visit: 9/3/2025 Posts: 208 Rating: (18)	Be sure you use the "PC.Adapter.PPI" (=MPI PC adapter) and not the "PC/PPI cable.PPI" (=PPI PC adapter) interface. ("PC.Adapter.MPI" (=MPI PC adapter) interface works to but only on baudrate 19k2 and 187k5) The 0CB20 is not able to auto detect baudrate and you should scan on all 3 (9k6, 19k2 187k5) baudrates individually to try and find the PLC. Also make sure the PLC is in STOP mode to be on the save side, unless you're sure the port is not used by the program (ie. free-port mode) otherwise you will not find the PLC.

Thanks but I 'am sure that I used PC.Adapter.PPI and the Plc in Stop mode and the port is not used by the program.
