Hi,

After I made a lot of changes to implement an OPC server, and reuploaded both PLC and HMI, after this the KTP700 tags don't work, everything is with ####, and hmi gives errors (see attachment):
 

Errors:

"Connection disconnected: HMI_Connection_2, Station 192.168.10.14, Rack 0, Slot1."

"Global: Unknown error %hs,%d,%2,%3,%4,%5,%6,%7,%8."

Not even the HMI simulation would connect to the real PLC.

I use TIA Portal V17 upd 7.

Things I tried:

- Compile hardware all, Compile software all, download software all, overwrite all, after each of the next steps:
- I updated the hmi OS from V15 to V17 in the project and transfered it to the HMI.
- did a factory reset
- set the time and date on both PLC and HMI to match.
- Set the IP and ProfiNet name again (despite it being already set)
- I upgraded PLC (6ES7 214-1HG40-0XB0) firmware, from 4.4 to 4.6. I use firmware 4.5 in TIA V17 because there is no option to use 4.6.
- deleted the connection entirely and remake the connection (hence the "HMI_Connection_2" name) and assigned this new connection to all the tags...
- deleted the password protection on PLC and HMI

After I deleted the password I managed to access the tags but only on the simulated HMI version. On the real HMI the problem persists, with the exact same error.

One thing I did not try is to update TIA to update 8 and install Pannel OS 17.0.0.X (last one). I will try this on monday but I doubt that would help.

I tried that, but the certificate is in the time-frame, date-times are correct both on PLC and HMI. This is not the problem here.

I installed TIA Portal V17 update 8, but can't find KTP700 Firmware 17.0.0.6 or above.

The:

and installed both of them and yet no Firmware above V17.0.0.0 is awailable to configure when I chose "change device" in TIA Portal.

What am I doing wrong?

I solved it, I updated using Right-Click ---> Update OS with Prosave to V17.0.0.8.

After that it gave the error Wrong password, changed it and now it works.

Strange that the error before the firmware V17.0.0.8 was "Global: Unknown error %hs,%d,%2,%3,%4,%5,%6,%7,%8." and after it it wrote "Wrong Password..."
