Question about more 30 axis servo drive configuration.

Machine have proximity 40EA servo axis. Each axis have below 1kW power and use 105 Telegram and safety telegram with IRT. Machine required short cycle time. PLC CPU is S7-1500TF series and drive system is S120 or S210 with servo control. My question is What is better configurate between 40EA S210 servo drives and 8~9EA S120 servo system with CU320-2PN? In CPU communication point of view S210 servo drive system is need more communication load because profinet device was 40EA, but S120 servo drive system need to only 8~9EA profinet communication load. So I think S120 system is better then S210 system. I expect opinion of Experts. Regards.

My main question is which system better between One cpu contolled 44 axis with S210 and one cpue controlled 44 axis with S120. S210 drive system is 44 profinet slave. S120 drvie system is 8 profinet slave. Almost axis controll by position control. Thanks.

So giving definitive answer is tricky. At given cycle time both configurations can be handled by Profinet and a CPU. To learn how well each configuration can be prepared in TIA and predicted network load examined. Once all technical factors are taken into consideration, hardware cost can be compared. TST will help you with this.
