Hello everybody.
   I've been having the same issue with a customer who bought two identical machines with an S505, 545-1103 CPU each, along with a Toshiba Satellite laptop with Windows 98 and TISOFT and TISOFT2 installed. The PLCs power up, and turn on CPU good and Battery LEDs, but not RUN LEDs. The OEM who no longer supports these machines, suggested downloading PLC programs again. Customer brought the PLC and laptops to me, but upon running via MS-DOS TISOFT, hitting option F4-Online does not get me online to the PLC. All I get is comms timeout. Checked the RS-232 cable, having both DB9 connectors correct pin configuration according to COntrologica's attachment.

   Any suggestions as to what else could be the cause of not being able to go online?
   Is it necessary to download the project first? If so, how is it done?

P.S. DIP switches are set to 9600kbps, and Port 1 as main programming port. Laptop ports were tested running HyperTerminal, transfering a small file between both laptops (it was awsome watching 10kb file take nearly 3 minutes for transfer).
