Hello A.ES; Modbus TCP is not supported natively in a CP 443-1. You need a special license and Modbus block library download to install it on a CPU S7-400. What ressources do you have for your project at this time? What specific problems do you encounter in your project? Have a look at the following document, hopefully it will provide enough information to help you start out: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/22660304 Hope this helps, |

Hello A.ES; If you open the link I provided earlier, you will find information on the licenses required for Modbus TCP in Step 7 v5.5, over a CP 443-1. There are also license numbers for the same blocks used in Step 7 (TIA Portal), if that is the platform you use to program youyr S7-400. If you go to this link, you will be able to download a demo project (free of charge, time limited) so you can test Modbis TCP connections and programming without immediate purchase os a license. This link is also found in my earlier post. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/109749851 The blocks will be included in that download. After the time limit is expoired, you will need to purchase the Modbus TCP CP license for your system to operate cleanly. Hope this helps, |
