Hello Wizard,

The error I get is during the transfer of my license key (floating) from the USB to My Computer. A small pop-up opens stating it is tranferring the key and then it shows in that pop-up that it resulted in a communication failure. Also opening a function block in the TIA Portal V19 fails. It just won't open.

I'm running Windows 11 Home (10.0.26100 Build 26100) (24H2)

Hi Jacco,

Install ALM V6.2_upd2, turn off/pause Windows updates, uninstall KB5058411 and also KB5055627, restart Windows and try again. It helped me

Hi Wizard,

I tried installing the lastest version this morning but unfortunately this didn't help (also de-installing, removing the directories, restarting and installing again). Again after deinstalling the windows update everything works fine. I created a support request with Siemens and send them all information (including the windows event log). They just told me that they have send my request to Siemens Germany for investigation. If I here anything from that I will post it in this forum.

Unfortunately things are still not working stable / correctly and I filed a support request a while ago with Siemens which is still open. I just saw that there is a knowledge base post about the problem which also states Siemens is investigating and planning a solution with an ALM update.

Yes I installed and tested it for a while. In the old situation I constantly had problems and now I'm able to successfuly transfer the license key from the USB-stick to my Computer and the other way around.

I'm not sure why the compatibility is not mentioning 24H2 but I'm running that version and both ALM and the TIA Portal (V19) are running without problems (for now).
