V20 and V19 not compatible.....!!!!

AutoGen_8846304 Member Joined: 6/17/2020 Last visit: 7/22/2025 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I have some machines that I have been working on upgrading, I have downloaded the program and have paid [snip] for TIA portal V20 professional floating licence. I had v19 trial and the PLC was programmed in v16 and everything was seamless I have connected with v19 on trial and have been able to simulate the hmi and program via PLCsim, I have copied the program to v20 but the comfort panel is not recognised - am I doing something wrong? Or have Siemens basically made it impossible to use older hmi's with V20 software at an extremely high purchasing cost? Do I also need to now buy v19 Wincc? I feel this is pretty poor if this is the case especially considering the outlay. Any info would be appreciated.
