How to access array of UDT element inside VbScript SmartTags

AutoGen_8232727 Joined: 3/19/2025 Last visit: 12/6/2025 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello I have been struggling to access UDT element under SmartTags in VbScript for loop as I have no tag system event at first loop. see the attached for the array, tag structure screenshots. when i tried to access like this it work SmartTags("HMI_INTERFACE_Alarms{0}_AlarmStruct_ID") but in a loop when trying to access like SmartTags("HMI_INTERFACE_Alarms{" & CStr(i) &"}_AlarmStruct_ID") or SmartTags("HMI_INTERFACE_Alarms{" & i & "}_AlarmStruct_ID") I get no tag system event at this line. can someone help please. I needed to create list of dummy tags for every access of my UDT arrays then all elements in the loop will be accusable. But it would be tiresome if we have 1000+ array to list them as dummy in the script, if someone have better idea than this please share. see below solution Sub inittest() Dim Initialized Dim j, dummy If Initialized <> True Then dummy = SmartTags("HMI_INTERFACE_Alarms.AlarmsDB[0].AlarmStruct.ID") dummy = SmartTags("HMI_INTERFACE_Alarms.AlarmsDB[1].AlarmStruct.ID") dummy = SmartTags("HMI_INTERFACE_Alarms.AlarmsDB[2].AlarmStruct.ID") .....
