Newbie here.

So I've been having trouble installing TIA Portal v15.1. During the installation, I always get an error message saying "some installed products need licenses". I'm on win 10 Pro 64 bit. The log file can be found here:

Hello,

Install Tia Portal without the WinCC flexible Migration option. If you get the error "Unchecking the" WinCC flexible 2008 Migration "option announces that instance 2WINCCPLUGMIG2014" should be removed from "Microsoft SQL Server 2014" in the Control Panel.

If the instance is uninstalled, reboot the computer and then start the installation from TIA v15.1 again without project migration

At first we were unable to uncheck " WinCC flexible 2008 Migration " option as suggested by Havillant Comet.

Afterwards we have uninstalled SQL Server ('WINCC instance was the only instance, thus SQL server uninstalled completely).

After this we were able to uncheck " WinCC flexible 2008 Migration " option and proceed with installation. We didn't tried to uninstall with migration option checked after SQL uninstall.

Initial cause of the problem was that PlcSim was installed before TIA portal.

This Error happens due to missing of some SQL server files. To resolve it ... 

Go to  : C:/ program files (*86) / My SQL server folder , right click on the folder  and go for properties

Then choose advanced option... Then uncheck the "compact compressed".

Restart Once and try to install now

Esse erro ocorre devido à falta de alguns arquivos do servidor SQL. Para resolvê-lo ... 

Vá para: C: / arquivos de programa ( * 86 ) / Minha pasta do servidor SQL, clique com o botão direito do mouse na pasta e opte por propriedades

Em seguida, escolha a opção avançada... Desmarque o "compacto compactado".

Reinicie uma vez e tente instalar agora

Hi, I seem to have the same problem.

On my PC Tia portal V15.1 was installed first. Now I need V16 so I want to install this trial version of it. Since the first time I tried this, I got the same error as yours.

I tried already to run the setup again after uninstalling PLCsim V15. That didn't work. 

The comment saying the files of the SQL server can't be compressed didn't work either as the files weren't compressed in the first place I think. See picture part 1. 

Do I have to uninstall everything of V15.1 as well as the whole microsoft SQL system-files (see picture part 2)?
