I'm trying to connect a Masterdrive MC+ 6SE7021-0tp50 with CBP2 module to a Siemens S7-400 via Profibus DP without any succes. I did start to connect the Masterdrive with Drivemonitor via the serial cable on X103. This works fine, i can go online, set all the parameters, download them, and let the motor run.

In the S7 project i did add the Masterdrive in the Profibus network, the masterdrive address P918 and profibus address are the same. Then i add a example programm:  FAQMD_DP to let the drive run. And followed the instruction from the PDF file. (so far the drive won't run)

When i add a parameter set to the masterdrive in my S7 project and double click, drivemonitor will open. The Online settings are set to Profibus / DP. And the Bus Address showing below the page match with the profibus address. Still i'm not able to go online, if i select view online(write EEPROM) a messagebox is showing: "Module MASTERDRIVES CBP2 cannot be accesed via the set online interface".

It seems like the PLC already is communicating with the Masterdrive, the communication shows no errors, and on the masterdrive all three LED's of the CBP2 module are blinking wich indicates the communication must be good.

I have no idea what is wrong, any help would be appreciated..

Could it be a problem if i did not install the right .gsd file??

I was not able to find the right type in S7, i did reinstall siem8045.gsd. Still the 6SE7021-0TP50 is not availeble in my hardware library. I already search for a .gsd file wich contais my Masterdrive in it only i can not find it :(

Did you set your PG/PC Inerface to Profibus in the "Settings PG/PC Interface", when trying to connect from DriveMonitor to the drive via DP?

Also look at the following FAQ.

In Drive Monitor bus type is set to Profibus / DP. Also the set DP address is right. Is there anything else what can cause this problem?? I read the FAQ, but can't find any fault, in my situation i can not connect to masterdrive via profibus via a S7 project or via Drivemonitor with profibus. Only via a serial link.

I use Simatic S7 V5.4 SP5 HF1 and Drive Monitor V5.04.02 on a simatic field PG.
