Yes the previous version was the V13 SP1 UPD9 and no, I don't migrate the project.

The error seems to indicate an issue with the simulator of Basic Panels.

I suggest you try to reinstall that.

Sorry, I answered the question wrong. I converted the project into V14 and yes, I've tried to recompile/rebuild all hardware/software, but still nothing.

I had a similar Problem after update V14.

I do following to solve the problem:

New Installation of SQL Express Instance.

Use the file from TIA V14 Installation Folder / DVD:

InstData\SQL\EXP\ SQLEXPR_x86_ENU.exe 

1. Close the TIA15.
2. Navigate to the folderC:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V15\Win32\SmartSimulator
3. Run as administrator for batch fileHmiSRTRegister_reg file(Right click and run as administrator )
4. HmiSRTRegister_regwill generate 2 registry filesHmiSRTreg and  HmiSRTreg_Vxxrespectively
5. Run theHmiSRTreg, HmiSRTreg_Vxxregistry files , These registry files will register simulation paths in the registry.

I have the TIA Portal V15.1 Professional (Win10) and the same problem. Unfortunately the mentioned folder C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V15\Win32\SmartSimulator

is empty. There is no Win32\SmartSimulator. Also the windows search could not find anything.

Any ideas?

Eu repito:

1- fecha aplicativo tia portal e tudo os serviços abertos.

2- Abra o próximo endereço C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V15_1\Win32\SmartSimulator

3- execute como administrador arquivo de lotes (.bat) HmiSRTRegister_reg, o genera duas entraidas de registro que são as que estão pendentes (HmiSRTreg e HmiSRTreg_Vxx)   

4- Feche e execute novamente TIA PORTAL.

Mesma coisa para versões 13 e 14.

Te lo repito

1- Cierre Tia Portal y los demás servicios relacionados abiertos.

2-  Abra la siguiente ubicación C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V15_1\Win32\SmartSimulator

3- Ejecute como administrador el archivo de lotes (.bat), HmiSRTRegister_reg, el genera dos entradas de registro que son las que estan pendientes (HmiSRTreg    y    HmiSRTreg_Vxx)

4- Cierre la Carpeta y ejecute tia portal nuevamente.

Es igual para las versiones 13 y 14.
