how do i so that the panel connects to the internet worldwide and that i can access that panel from any part of the world or outside the local network

Hi,

The VPN connection can be realized with various components/programs.

To make the SIMATIC HMI Comfort Panel accessible via the VPN connection, the IP address of the router must be entered as the standard gateway in the "PROFINET interface [X1] > Ethernet addresses > Use Router > Router address" field, within the HMI properties in the project.

Then transfer the project to the operator panel.

Like I wrote check eWon. There are lot of others too, but that I have tested and used lot of times.

You cannot just connect cable and think it is reachable from anywhere (actually it is but....).

K_ohjus, i have the router connected to the hmi and I enabled the smart server, so I don´t know how to configured after. I have to cinfiugre the router or what I have to do next for connect the hmi to internet?

I thought that the hmi comfort only connect to modem via ethernet and that´s all...

I just meant that if you are connected to internet there are always ways to reach the panel.

You can connect to your panel if you are connected to same subnet via router or directly. If not, you need some way to reach the subnet.
