It would be nice if you translated the text in the pop-up dialog (X).

I am going to guess it says you have the wrong version of portal to upload the project loaded on the device.

Either you have V15 and the device was loaded using V15.1, or the other way around.

Your V15 (or V16) license will work with V15 & V15.1.

V15 and V15.1 are independent (different) installs of TIA Portal.  You can have both installed at the same time.

Whichever one is missing, install that one and try again.

I have the exact problem as he did, and when I tried to get TIA Portal V15 installation pack on this  site, it said TIA Portal V15 has already discontinued, I couldn't find the installation pack. Can u advise how am I supposed to get this problem fixed ?

You can download a trial version of Step 7 v15, which is free (but consists of very big files, read the Notes about Downloading); it will work for 21 days the same as a licensed version:

The link works. Maybe at the time where you try the server had a temporary problem.

Try it again.

hi i have the same message 

I tried doing upload from a cpu s7 1500 that it has a project with version 18 

i used in my pg version 20 

i connected with cpu but when i tried opening a block of the project appears the above message 

what can i do so i can connect with cpu and process the programm ?

I have the original project  v18 

i upgrade it in version 20 with my tia portal 

so can i download the upgrade project and after i will communicate with the cpu and process the program without problem ?

 If you need to just diagnose and monitor a running system, install TIA18 and open the project and go online.

With TIA20, you need to download the whole program in the PLC, but you will loose all modified DB values when doing so. That might be a huge problem if there are recipe data and product counter and so on that you will loose.

So you suggest me sir to download and install the version 18 tia portal in my pg and after i can monitor and diagnose  the  cpu

but i need to do and changes on the exist program if its necessary to improve the operation of the  machine 

Will it be possible ?

or should i buy and a new key for the version 18 ? or its not necessary ?

but on my pg i had at first the key licence version 15.1 and i asked key for upgrade to version 20 tia portal from my local siemens office
