I’m encountering two issues with theSIMATIC Process Historianin ourPCS 7 V9.0 SP3system and would appreciate any insights or solutions from those who have faced similar problems.

When accessing the Plant Structure Dashboard in the Information Server, I receive the error "PlantStructureDashboard: error building plant hierarchy". This suggests an issue with constructing the plant hierarchy, even though the project folder name is consistent between the Engineering System and the Process Historian.

The other problem is I cant generate report manually although the report is working automatically everytime. But if I will try to manual export a reports its says something like "error in retrieving..."

Any guidance, including relevant Siemens documentation (e.g., specific sections of theProcess Historian and Information Server Manual), hotfixes, or configuration tips, would be greatly appreciated. I can provide additional details, such as log files or tag counts, if needed.

Plant Structure Dashboard Error
Ensure the project folder name is identical across all systems, and check for hidden differences like case sensitivity or extra spaces. Verify that all systems are using compatible versions of Information Server and Process Historian, especially for PCS 7 V9.0 SP3, which requires the latest service packs. Check the Plant Structure configuration in Information Server to ensure it aligns with the Engineering System's hierarchy. Review Information Server logs for any specific “PlantStructureDashboard” error messages.

Manual Report Generation Error
Confirm that Information Server and Process Historian are running the same version and updates. Check the SQL database to ensure required columns are present and valid. Make sure the report template does not reference missing or outdated tags. If automatic reporting works, compare its configuration with manual settings. Temporarily disable firewall or antivirus to rule out network-related issues.

Ensure all servers have synchronized date and time settings. If problems persist, reinstall Information Server and Process Historian with the latest service packs and updates for a clean setup.

I also have one solution in mind. Does Compiling and Downloading then check the option "with memory reset" might also be a solution? Thank you.

Try normal download first. If issues persist due to DB or structure mismatch, then perform a memory reset, only after ensuring safe system conditions.

What actually happened is that the Process Histtorian is working fine both automatically and manually without error before. 

The historian starts to have error on manual retrieving report generation after we uploaded new project into existing project (hierarchy).

 This is a follow-up question regarding the Process Historian issue.

Could this behavior be related to the issue we’re experiencing with the historian? We’ve noticed that a duplicate project appears automatically — even though the second project contains no data or server content. After we delete the empty project, it reappears again after a few hours.

If this is one of the possible causes of the issue, what are the recommended configuration steps or solutions to permanently prevent the duplicate project from returning?
