Hello everyone,

I'm currently experiencing an OS Redundancy issue in our PCS 7 V9.0 SP3 setup and would appreciate any technical insight.

System Overview:

• 1 Engineering Station (ES), also acting as a client

• Server 1 and Server 2 configured in an OS Redundant pair

• PCS 7 V9.0 SP3 (WinCC component)

Issue Description:
Server 1 is operating normally and runs Runtime without any problems. However, Server 2 consistently fails to stay synchronized. When I start Runtime, Server 2 shows a syncing icon for about 3–5 seconds, and then the status turns red (please see attached image).

Additionally, I’ve noticed that theserver data on Server 1 and the ES is identical, butServer 2 shows different server data. This mismatch might be causing the redundancy to break.

My Questions:

1. Is there a way to safely delete or reset the server data on Server 2 so it matches Server 1 and the ES?

2. Has anyone encountered similar behavior in PCS 7 V9.0 SP3 and found a reliable fix?

Hi,

What you can try is execute a full download to OS server 2. If that does not help, you can try to delete the project on the OS server and download the project again to this server. 

What you can also check first is the redundancy settings on both servers in WinCC Explorer. You have to define it locally on the OS server-> Check correct network adapter etc. 

Make sure the redundancy settings are also set in SIMATIC Shell locally on the OS server 2.
