I'm currently experiencing an issue with an I/O field in WinCC Unified. I need to dynamically switch the Mode property between "Input/Output" and "Output", depending on a specific set of runtime conditions.

The idea is that when a certain condition evaluates to True, the I/O field should be in Input/Output mode, allowing user input. When the condition is False, the field should switch to Output mode, preventing any user changes.

I’ve attempted to implement this behavior using scripting, but even the most basic conditional logic doesn't seem to take effect. So far, the only working approach has been using the "Operator Control Allowed" setting. However, when that option is disabled, the field becomes semi-transparent, which negatively affects the user interface.

Do you know of a reliable way to dynamically change the I/O field mode at runtime without impacting the visual appearance?
