Hi everybody,

it's possible to open an "http" page via the browser? Actually, it only let me insert "https" addresses. I've tried to force it via a variable but it gives me error, also writing the address directly in the address bar it corrects to https.

How can I solve this issue? On "normal" wincc is possible to browse http pages.

I had the same requirement. I wanted to display dynamic contents (images) At the end I have to setup https server. Http server did not work.

If it is a local server, it is possible, you can generate your own https certificate and WinCC will not block it. 

But if you want to display http website from the internet, I don't if that is possible.

we have to look at the device, we are talking of.

Unified PC Runtime - WinCC Unified is displayed as a https Website. It is not allowed to display http contents inside of a https site. Also browsers do block this!

The Panel though technicly is not a Browser (talking about the local Runtime). So there the workaround with a tag might be possible.

On Unified MTP it works with http and https, on Unified PC only https.

I couldn't find anywhere else that this was answered, but there is a work-around for Unified PC.

Using reverse proxy, you can display http content within the Unified PC runtime.  You setup the proxy in Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

1. In IIS under Server -> Application Request Routing -> Server Proxy Settings -> Enable proxy (this is already enabled if you've install Unified PC Runtime v20)

2. In IIS under Site (this would typically be WinCC Unified SCADA) -> URL Rewrite -> Add Rule -> Reverse Proxy -> Type in address (without http, for example: 192.168.2.20)

3. After rule is created, open and set pattern to: https://site_address/(.*)

The (.*) at the end allows all the different requests to that server to be allowed through the proxy.

Note that browsers may now show your content as insecure, as you are displaying insecure content on an https site.
